Frequently Asked Questions
Find answers to common questions about Melora
General
What is Melora?
Melora is a photo sharing platform designed for weddings and special events. It allows your guests to easily share their photos by scanning a QR code. No app download required.
Do guests need to create an account?
No! Guests can upload photos simply by scanning the QR code. No account, no app download, no hassle.
What types of events can I use Melora for?
While Melora is perfect for weddings, it works great for any event: birthday parties, corporate events, family reunions, graduations, and more.
Photos & Gallery
Is there a limit to how many photos can be uploaded?
Every paid package includes unlimited photos and videos, with no cap on guest numbers. Hosts can set or remove a per-guest upload limit in event settings. The free demo has 20 MB for photos. Per-file upload limits still apply.
What photo formats are supported?
JPEG, PNG, WebP and AVIF, plus MP4 and MOV for video. iPhone photos work: when a guest picks a photo in Safari, iOS hands us a JPEG rather than the original HEIC. If a HEIC file ever does reach us the uploader says so on the spot, and switching the camera to “Most Compatible” in Settings › Camera › Formats fixes it for good.
Can I download all photos at once?
Yes! You can download your entire gallery with one click, or select specific photos to download.
How long are photos stored?
Your plan covers a window for guest uploads — 30, 60 or 90 days depending on the tier. After it, guests can no longer upload, and everything else is unchanged: the gallery stays yours to browse and download in full quality, with no expiry. We do not delete anything automatically; if you want your event and its media removed, write to us and we will remove them.
Pricing & Payment
Is there a subscription?
No. You pay once for one event and that is the end of it. Nothing renews and there is no card on file.
Can I move to a bigger plan later?
Yes, from inside the event itself, and you pay only the difference between the two packages. Your event code, printed QR cards and uploaded photos stay the same. Upgrading adds the new package's benefits and renews its upload window. Existing customers keep their original package rights.
What if we need the gallery open a little longer?
Every plan includes one free extension of 30 days, which you switch on from your event's settings. Beyond that, moving up a plan gives you a fresh window. A closed gallery is never locked: you can still open it, browse it and download everything in full quality, whatever happens with the window.
What payment methods do you accept?
We accept all major credit cards through our secure payment provider, Stripe.
Can I get a refund?
Yes. Write to us within 14 days of buying, before your event begins, and we refund the whole amount, whether or not anything has been uploaded. Once your event has started, the legal 14-day right to withdraw still applies, less the part of the service already used. If the service fails you, write to us whatever the timing and we will make it right.
Technical
What devices are supported?
Any smartphone with a camera and web browser can scan the QR code and upload photos. No app installation required.
Is my data secure?
Every photo travels over an encrypted connection, galleries are reachable only through your own link or QR code, and you can require your approval before anything appears. Your data is never sold or shared with third parties.
Where are the photos stored?
On servers in Germany, inside the European Union, and the backups stay in the EU too. Melora is run from Croatia and built around the GDPR: no advertising, no selling of data, and you can ask for everything to be deleted at any time.
Can I moderate photos before they appear?
Yes! You can enable moderation in your event settings. Photos won't appear in the gallery until you approve them.
